Simple Outdoor Dining

Our outdoor dining space is almost finished and we are loving it SO much especially because the inside of our house is totally torn apart thanks to new floors & termite surprise…so we’re retreating outside which means having an outdoor space that is cozy and inviting makes all the difference in how our evenings and backyard feels.

I got this outdoor dining table and benches from Ikea during their spring sale and I had my eye on this for so long and when it was nearly 50% OFF I had to jump on it! We have friends and family over often and I wanted a long table that wasn’t going to cost $1500+ like all the tables I was seeing. I had just started looking into options of building our own when I found this table that is 9ft long and was $245.

I chose to do benches among all the chair options at Ikea. The benches seem to provide more seating in a way where we’ll have a family on one side and a family on the other side where parents and kids can all sit comfortably instead of everyone needing their own chair and always having the chairs out to position. Just an option I liked and I’m so happy with them!

This umbrella is DARLING and my favorite one I’ve found for the price! I bought it for just under $100 and I’m impressed with the quality and size. While we were on vacation we were told there were some of the most intense winds we’ve ever had and this umbrella was still standing when we got back!

I think to finish this space we just need to complete our landscaping and put down pebble rocks underneath the table since we haven’t had any luck growing grass here. I’d much rather have it surrounded by wildflowers haha

It was getting dark when I was taking pictures, but I wanted to show our lighting and how cozy the string lights, lanterns in the trees, and battery candles make the whole mood feel magical.
